SIA “Prototech”, registration number 40203762514, legal address Krišjāņa Valdemāra iela 51-4, Talsi, Talsu novads, LV-3201, Latvia (“Prototech”, “we”, “us”, “our”) operates the website prototechbaltic.eu (the “Website”) and provides custom 3D printing services. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and what rights you have regarding it, in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Latvian law.

1. Who we are

2. What information we collect

We collect the following categories of personal data:

  • Account and order information: name, email address, billing and shipping address, phone number, and order history, when you register an account, request a quote, or place an order.
  • Uploaded files: 3D model files (e.g. STL, 3MF) you upload to request a quote or place an order. These files are transferred over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection to our calculation engine to determine pricing and, if you place an order, to produce your part.
  • Account login data: if you register or log in using Google or Facebook (via our social login feature), we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from that provider, as permitted by their terms and your settings.
  • Payment information: when you make a purchase, payment details are collected and processed by our payment provider – Stripe. We do not store your full card details on our own servers.
  • Communications: information you provide when you contact us via our contact form, email, or phone.
  • Usage and technical data: IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, and similar data collected automatically via cookies and analytics tools (see Section 4).

3. How we use your information

We use your personal data to:

  • Process and fulfil your orders, including calculating quotes, producing parts, and arranging delivery;
  • Create and manage your account, including social login via Google or Facebook;
  • Communicate with you about your orders, account, or enquiries;
  • Improve our Website and services, including through analytics;
  • Comply with legal, accounting, and tax obligations;
  • With your consent, show you relevant advertising (e.g. via Facebook Pixel) and measure the effectiveness of our marketing.

The legal basis for processing is: performance of a contract (order fulfilment, account management), our legitimate interests (improving our services, security), your consent (non-essential cookies, marketing), and compliance with legal obligations (accounting/tax records).

4. Cookies and tracking technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies for the following purposes:

  • Essential cookies: required for the Website to function, e.g. keeping items in your cart and keeping you logged in. These do not require consent.
  • Google Analytics: we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our Website (pages visited, time spent, general location). Google Analytics uses cookies and collects data such as your IP address (which may be anonymized) and browsing behaviour. This data is processed by Google LLC, which may transfer data outside the EU/EEA under appropriate safeguards (Google’s Standard Contractual Clauses).
  • Meta/Facebook Pixel: we use the Facebook Pixel to measure the effectiveness of our advertising and to show you relevant ads on Facebook/Instagram. This tool collects data about your interactions with our Website and may be combined with your Facebook account data by Meta Platforms, Inc.

  • Hosting providers: our Website is hosted by Hostinger; uploaded 3D files and quote calculations are processed on a separate server operated by Hetzner (Germany/EU).

Uploaded 3D files are retained only as long as needed to process your order and provide support, after which they are deleted.

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse, including secure hosting, restricted access to uploaded files, and encrypted connections (HTTPS).

8. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Request correction of inaccurate data;
  • Request deletion of your data (“right to be forgotten”), subject to legal retention requirements;
  • Restrict or object to certain processing;

Some of our third-party providers (such as Google and Meta) may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where this happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, to ensure your data remains protected.

Our Website and services are not directed at children under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
